The Goal of Sleeping Well

The Goal of Sleeping Well

Over the past 5 weeks, I (Kevin) ran a financial stewardship course for the staff at a small company and also had a chance to meet with each individual and their spouses for private financial counselling. I am encouraged by their willingness to openly share about their current financial situation. Some of the clients are believers, and some do not know Jesus yet, but they all carry the same stresses in worrying about their financial situation and the burdens of caring for their family. Everyone is looking for peace and hope in a better future for their families.

I am glad I can listen, provide guidance and pray with them as they share their struggles, their arguments, and their desires. A few of the people I met with stated that, “For the first time in a long time, I slept really well.” Who knew that was a goal? People were also encouraged because they were able to share ideas and financial strategies with someone else and get honest feedback. I am glad to have the opportunity to build new friendships, teach about biblical stewardship and provide both financial and spiritual counselling. This ministry has been picking-up and we have constant requests to run more training for more churches and workplaces. We are looking to hire local staff to become financial counsellors.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” – Philippians 4:6

Prayer Requests:
